In Kingstanding, Birmingham, M4RT delivered a modern, fully electric heating and hot water solution to support the homeowner’s transition away from gas. The objective was to make full use of the property’s existing solar PV array and off-peak electricity tariffs, offering both sustainability and long-term energy cost savings.

Client Brief

The client requested a future-ready, all-electric alternative to their traditional gas system. Key requirements included:

• Full removal of the gas boiler and hot water cylinder

• Elimination of all cold water tanks in the loft

• Integration of an efficient electric solution for both space heating and hot water

• Maximum utilisation of off-peak electricity and solar PV

• Installation of new system within existing home infrastructure with minimal disruption

• Eliminate reliance on gas

• Use existing radiator circuit for space heating

Our Solution

M4RT recommended and installed two innovative heat battery technologies:

• Tepeo ZEB (Zero Emission Boiler) – for central heating

• Sunamp Thermino 150 ePlus – for domestic hot water

  
  

Installation Highlights:

✅ Tepeo ZEB installed in the downstairs under-stairs cupboard

✅ Existing hot water cylinder removed and replaced with the Sunamp Thermino

✅ Gas boiler removed, with external wall made good

✅ All tanks removed from the loft

✅ Tepeo ZEB connected to the existing radiator circuit

✅ Full system commissioning, testing, and homeowner demonstration

Martyn and Aaron (M4RT) replaced our central heating gas boiler with a TEPEO ZEB heat battery for central heating, and a SUNAMP THERMINO 150 EPLUS heat battery for hot water. We are now gas free!

They arrived on time for the initial survey, advising on what would be needed for the installation of a ZEB and SUNAMP, and promptly provided a detailed quotation.
